By using Slate (slatescores.com and the Slate apps), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Slate.

What Slate is

Slate shows sports scores, schedules, statistics and publicly available betting lines, and lets you track bets you placed elsewhere. Slate is not a sportsbook, does not accept or place wagers, and does not handle money. See the Betting Disclaimer.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 to use Slate, and of legal age in your location (21+ in most US states) to use bet-tracking features in connection with real wagers. You are responsible for following the laws where you live.

Accounts

Accounts are optional. Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or the Acceptable Use policy.

Data accuracy

Scores, odds, statistics and grades come from third-party sources (primarily ESPN) and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Bet slip screenshot reading is automated and may misread information; always check before saving. Do not rely on Slate as the official result of any game or wager. Your sportsbook’s records control.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add (slips, names, photos). You give us permission to store and display it to you to run the service.

Intellectual property

Slate’s design, code and logo belong to us. Team names, logos and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify teams; Slate is not affiliated with or endorsed by any league, team, ESPN or sportsbook.

Disclaimers

SLATE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLATE AND ITS OWNER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY GAMBLING LOSSES, LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF SLATE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $50 OR WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS (CURRENTLY $0).

Indemnity

You agree to cover claims against us arising from your misuse of Slate or violation of these terms or the law.

Changes and termination

We may change or discontinue features, or update these terms, at any time. Continued use after an update means you accept it. You can stop using Slate and request account deletion at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
